Our Lady of the Streets Miniature Medallion Gold

This painting of the Virgin Mary holding her infant son is inspired by the painting of Robert Ferruzzi (1897) Madonna della Strada, also known as the Madonna of the Streets. Originally not painted as religious, it has become a popular painting of the Virgin Mary with little Jesus in her arms.

Each and every Our Lady of the Streets medallion is individually painted and fired in a kiln to the temperature of 700°C (1300°F). A solid 585/1000 gold frame is hand-made and hand-engraved, without using any machine, highlighting the distinctiveness of this delightful item. You can be guaranteed of a truly unique work of art. The rear side of a medallion Our Lady of the Streets doesn't bear an inscription because of its small size. There is a glossy white surface of fired jewellery enamel. The materials used are: solid 14-carat hallmarked gold, fired jewellery enamel, ceramic colorants - applied by hand with squirrel-hair brushes and then fired to shine.
