Madonna portraiting a statue of the Virgin Mary of Meritxell, patroness of Andorra. The original statue dates back to the twelfth century, but it burned down in a fire and was replaced by a replica. It is now located in the Basilica of Merixell in Andorra. We celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Meritxell (Mare de Déu de Meritxell) on January 6.
