Our Lady of Guadalupe Larger Saint Medal Gold

Saint medal of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The Mother of God is said to have appeared on the top of Tepeyac Hill in Mexico as a Native American girl. According to the legend, she spoke to Juan Diego in nahuatic (the native mexican language) on his way to Mexico City for a morning mass. The year was 1531.
The Virgin Mary asked Juan Diego to have a consecrated church built here with the help of the bishop. But Bishop Juan de Zumárraga was skeptical about Diego and demanded a proof. So the Mother of God sent Diego to collect roses and bring them to the bishop. Diego indeed collected them into his Indian tilma. And then, as he presented them to the bishop, a perfect image of the Virgin of Guadalupe appeared on the exposed inner side. The bishop was astonished and immediately convinced, he had the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe built at the designated place. Juan Diego's cloak has been miraculously well preserved to this day in the Basilica de Guadalupe in Mexico City.

Each and every medal Our Lady of Guadalupe is individually painted and fired in a kiln to the temperature of 700°C (1300°F). A 585/1000 gold frame is hand-made, without using any machine, highlighting the distinctiveness of this delightful item. You can be guaranteed of a truly unique work of art. The rear side Our Lady of Guadalupe medal bears an inscription "Ora pro nobis!" which can be translated as "Pray for us!" The materials used are: solid 14-carat gold (585/1000), fired jewellery enamel, ceramic colorants - applied by hand with squirrel-hair brushes and then fired in a kiln to shine.
