This painting of Our Lady of the Streets is inspired by the painting of Robert Ferruzzi (1897) Madonna della Strada, also known as the Madonna of the Streets. Originally not painted as religious, it has become a popular painting of the Virgin Mary with little Jesus in her arms.

The materials used are: solid 14-carat gold (585/1000) with hallmark, fired jewellery enamel, ceramic colorants - applied by hand with squirrel-hair brushes and then fired in a kiln to shine.
